As part of the "Taza Kazakhstan" environmental campaign initiated by the Head of State, the KTZ branch "Main Network Directorate" continues to implement the principles of environmental responsibility and rational use of resources aimed at improving the environment and fostering an environmental culture among employees and the public.

In 2025, over 41,700 kg of waste was recycled for a fee, including:

  • waste paper – 1,731.70 kg,
  • plastic – 5,632.81 kg,
  • batteries – 26,316.80 kg,
  • used office equipment – 2,635 kg,
  • tires – 5,380 kg,
  • metal barrels – 28 kg,
  • cardboard – 6.5 kg.


Across all of the Directorate's branches, 604 cleanup days were held, involving over 40,000 employees. The area cleaned exceeded 238,000 square meters, and over 316 tons of waste were collected.

In addition, the Directorate's line companies implemented 257 environmental campaigns throughout the year, including:

"Paperless Day," "Car-Free Day," "Plastic-Free Day," "Polyethylene-Free Day," "World Environment Day," "Green Week," "Earth Hour," "The Greenest Family," "Recycle a Battery - Save a Hedgehog," "Recycle Waste Paper - Save a Tree," "Green Office," and "Save Water."

The KTZ branch, the Main Network Directorate, continues its systematic work to improve environmental responsibility and sustainable resource use in the railway industry.
