The national carrier reminds passengers of the current rules for transporting children on rail. Parents are permitted to transport one child under 7 years of age free of charge, provided they do not occupy a separate seat. A child ticket is required to occupy a separate seat. If a family is traveling with several children under 7 years of age, each adult may only transport one child free of charge; child tickets are purchased for the remaining children.

Children aged 7 to 15 years are permitted to travel with child tickets. The cost of a child ticket is 50% of the adult ticket price.

Children aged 15 and over must purchase an adult ticket. They may travel independently, but must have a notarized written consent from their legal guardian.

The following rules apply to interstate travel: children under 5 years of age may travel free of charge without a separate seat; children aged 5 to 10 years of age travel at the child fare; Children aged 10 to 15 pay 50% of the full ticket price within Kazakhstan, and full fare when traveling abroad.

If a child is traveling with their parents, they must present their birth certificate or passport when purchasing a ticket and boarding the train. If a child is not accompanied by a legal guardian, a notarized consent from both parents must be presented when boarding the train.

In addition, all routes offer multimedia services with children's content, and the restaurant cars offer menus adapted for children.

The national carrier also strongly recommends following safety rules and ensuring that children are always under adult supervision.
