New Stadler passenger cars, manufactured at the Stadler Kazakhstan plant in Astana, have completed over 10,000 kilometers of certification runs. Testing began in September and is being conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulation (ТР ТС 001/2011). Test runs are being conducted on railway sections across the country. These modern trains have already traveled through Karaganda, Taraz, Shymkent, and Ust-Kamenogorsk.

These cars have demonstrated consistent performance in operation, confirming the reliability of their braking systems, the stability of their undercarriages, and the proper operation of their safety systems.

The key advantages of the new cars are their sophisticated ergonomics and modern engineering solutions aimed at improving passenger comfort and safety. Each compartment is equipped with individual climate control systems, power outlets and USB ports, conductor call buttons, and tactile markings for those with special needs. The carriages, adapted for operation even in challenging climates, have a service life of 40 years.

By the end of 2025, the plant will deliver the first batch of carriages to the National Carrier: compartment carriages, open-plan carriages, carriages specially designed for passengers with limited mobility, and generator carriages. In addition, Stadler will provide 20-year maintenance services for the rolling stock.

A total of 557 new carriages will be delivered by 2030, allowing the company to completely renew its fleet.

Starting in 2026, new Stadler trains will be deployed on routes 3/4 Astana-Almaty, 353/354 Astana-Semey, 85/86 Astana-Shymkent, and 47/48 Astana-Atyrau.

The renewal of the rolling stock and the introduction of Stadler rolling stock is an important stage in the development of the railway industry, contributing to improved service quality and passenger satisfaction.
