During a working visit by a delegation from Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC to the United States, an important agreement was signed with Wabtec. The agreement, initiated by the national company, covers the financing of social projects in Kazakhstan.

The document was signed by KTZ Chairman of the Mamagement Board, Talgat Aldybergenov, and Wabtec Corporation CEO, Rafael Santana.

The projects will cover the development of engineering and social infrastructure. Investments in the regions are intended not only to improve comfort for residents but also to strengthen social resilience near railway hubs.

"For KTZ, it is important not only to develop infrastructure and renew the locomotive fleet, but also to provide real support to the population living and working near the railway. "This is our joint contribution with Wabtec to the sustainable social development of the regions, the future of the railway, and the younger generation," noted Talgat Aldybergenov.

This agreement with Wabtec is historic, as it marks the first time the company will directly invest in social projects in Kazakhstan. The agreement is a logical continuation of the long-standing strategic partnership between the companies, encompassing not only the supply and maintenance of locomotives but also their contribution to the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan.
