JSC "Passenger Transportation" reminds passengers of the list of items prohibited for carriage on rail transport.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an attempt to transport dangerous or prohibited items entails criminal liability. In this regard, the company strongly recommends that passengers familiarize themselves in advance with the list of items whose carriage is strictly prohibited.

What is prohibited from being taken on the train?

● Explosive devices and explosives, pyrotechnics (fireworks, fireworks and other items that are potentially explosive).
● Radioactive and narcotic substances, flammable liquids and substances, including gasoline, methyl ether, methanol.
● Flammable solids.
● Poisonous, potent and toxic substances in liquid or solid state.
● Infectious or biologically hazardous materials, substances and items containing them.
● All types of firearms, including throwing, electrical, mechanical weapons, combined, barrel-less traumatic, gas, objects of impact-crushing action, sabers, sabres, cleavers, yataghans, broadswords, swords, rapiers, bayonets, daggers, dirks, stilettos, brass knuckles, flails.
● Ammunition for firearms and gas weapons, including live cartridges, flash and sound, traumatic action, blanks, loaded hunting cartridges.

Before the start of a train journey, passengers undergo mandatory screening at train stations. In order to ensure security, X-ray television installations, stationary and hand-held metal detectors, and portable detectors have been installed at the largest railway stations.

Video surveillance, security and alarm systems are in operation, and police and security personnel are on duty around the clock.

Security control is also carried out en route. The trains are equipped with a video surveillance system, the information from which is available exclusively to authorized employees of the situation center of JSC Passenger Transportation. Monitoring is carried out around the clock and covers the most vulnerable areas: carriages, entrances and exits, as well as common areas.

To date, as part of the phased implementation of the video surveillance system, 1,350 cameras have been installed in 24 Talgo trains.
